Auto-answer and safety

Autonomy levels

Careful, Normal, Full or Always to me — how much auto-answer may answer by itself, per chat, person, tag or for new chats.

The autonomy level decides how sure ChatPilot must be before auto-answer sends a reply by itself. It never switches auto-answer on: that stays your choice per chat.

LevelWhat it answers by itself
CarefulOnly what's certain from the chat itself. New chats start here.
NormalAlso what learned answers, their profile and live figures cover. New topics, decisions and complaints come to you.
FullEverything it's sure about. Money, unknown prices, promises, contracts, legal, complaints and serious things still come to you.
Always to meIt writes a draft for you and never sends by itself.

Whatever the level, a reply waits for you when it is below the level's threshold, when it only rests on general knowledge, or when it has an amount, price, date or percentage it can't point to in the chat, your instructions or what it looked up.

Where you set it

The most specific level wins: the chat's own, then the person's, then their tags (the most careful one), then the default.

  • One chat: the chat's Auto-answer tab → Autonomy. The line under it says which level applies now and where it comes from.
  • Everyone's chats with one person: on the same tab, For all chats with ….
  • By tag and for new chats: Automation → Rules & auto-answer → Autonomy:
  • New chats: the default level.
  • Per tag: a level for people with that tag (tags are set in People). + Add.
  • Always to me: topics, one per line (for example invoice, contract, refund). A message about one of them always waits for you, whatever the level. Save topics.

Let the results guide you

Today shows the Auto-answer score once auto-answer has handled messages: the share answered without you over the last days, the questions that still came to you, and level suggestions per chat (raise it when you sent all its drafts unchanged, lower it when you often changed them). Nothing changes until you press Raise to … or Lower to …. Per chat opens the numbers behind it.

Questions that came to you can be answered once with Teach: type the answer, choose This person or Everyone, and press Learn. Auto-answer then uses it. Taught answers are listed under Automation → What ChatPilot learned → Taught answers.
