Read a chat

What the chat screen shows, the buttons above it, what you can do with one message, and catching up on a busy chat.

Click a chat in the inbox to open it. Its messages are on the right, the newest at the bottom, with the reply box under them.

Above the messages

The top of a chat shows its name, which app and account it comes through, and its labels. The arrow next to the name shows the details: ChatPilot's sorting (urgent, normal or low, with a one-line summary and why), tasks from this chat, reminders and the person it belongs to.

The buttons:

  • Auto-answer says whether ChatPilot answers this chat by itself (off, on with its level, paused or held back). Click it for its settings; see Switch on auto-answer.
  • Discuss opens a private conversation with ChatPilot about this chat (Discuss a chat with ChatPilot). Key: d.
  • Done takes the chat out of your inbox (key e); Snooze hides it until later.
  • More holds the rest: Pin to the top, Follow up, What did I miss?, Label, auto-answer and Live data settings, Send to… a connected system, Members of a group, a call in the app itself, and What ChatPilot may do here: the four choices from Choose which chats ChatPilot may read.

A chat that is Saved, no AI shows a bar above the messages to switch it to Can read, which adds sorting, drafts, Ask ChatPilot and auto-answer.

One message

Hover over a message (on a phone: tap it) for what you can do with it: reply to that message, react, forward it to other chats in any app, make a task of it, Send to… a connected system, ask ChatPilot about it, translate it, transcribe a voice message (on your own computer), and for your own messages edit or delete for everyone where the app allows it.

Photos and files open in a viewer with Download.

What did I miss?

In a busy chat, More → What did I miss? summarises the Unread messages, the Last 24 hours or the Last 7 days: a headline, what's for you, what was decided, what is to do and the topics. It appears above the messages; ✕ closes it.

What ChatPilot did

Small lines between the messages show what ChatPilot did in this chat, at the time it happened: an answer auto-answer sent, a reply it held back for you and why, live figures it looked up, what a rule did, and actions run in a connected system. In an e-mail these lines are under the mail.

E-mail

An e-mail opens as a mail, with Done, Delete and Archive next to it. Reply all, Forward, Discuss, Snooze, Send to…, Spam and Filter are under More. Pictures from the internet in a mail stay blocked until you press Load images.
