Google Calendar
Connect Google Calendar so auto-answer only offers times you are free; needs a Google Cloud project of your own.
Google Calendar lets ChatPilot read your busy times. When a chat asks for a meeting, auto-answer then only offers times you're free; it never sees what else is in your calendar. Google's calendar MCP server is a developer preview at Google.
Connect it
It needs a Google Cloud project of your own:
- In the Google Cloud console, create (or pick) a project and switch on the Calendar MCP API.
- Create an OAuth client of the type Web application, with the Redirect URL that ChatPilot's form shows (+ Add system → Google Calendar).
- In ChatPilot's form, enter its Client id and Client secret, give it a Name and choose Read it.
- Click Sign in with Google Calendar and sign in with your Google account in the new tab.
ChatPilot asks for the read-only scopes Google documents (your calendar list, free/busy times and events). Creating events may need more.
Booking a meeting
When the calendar also has an action that books an appointment, auto-answer may book a meeting, but only in a free slot: ChatPilot reads your busy times itself and fills in the start and end. A time that isn't free, or a calendar that can't be read, becomes a card for you and the reply waits. Check that What ChatPilot understood says Calendar, with a tool for busy times (What ChatPilot understood).
Reading is all ChatPilot does by itself; anything that changes something there is an action you switch on first (Actions in connected systems).
