ChatPilot
Getting started

Link iMessage and SMS

Bring your iMessage and SMS conversations into the inbox on a Mac.

On a Mac, ChatPilot reads your iMessage and SMS conversations from the Messages app on that Mac and sends your approved replies through it. This card only shows on a Mac. SMS come in when your iPhone forwards text messages to this Mac (Text Message Forwarding in the iPhone's Messages settings).

Give ChatPilot access

macOS protects your messages, so you allow ChatPilot once:

  1. In the panel, open Settings → iMessage & SMS and press Turn on.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.
  3. Click +, press ⌘⇧G and paste the path the card shows (the card has a Copy button), then Open and switch it on.
  4. Back in the panel, press Check again. The card says connected.

The first time you send a reply, macOS asks whether ChatPilot may use Messages: click OK.

Names come from your Contacts. Messages are read on this Mac only. Every conversation starts switched off: go on with Choose which chats ChatPilot may read.
