The inbox

Your chats and mail from every app in one list, sorted by what needs you, and how to clear it.

The Inbox holds every chat and e-mail ChatPilot may keep, from all your apps together. ChatPilot sorts each new message (urgent, normal or low priority, and whether it needs your reply), so the list shows what needs you first. Only chats you switched on are here: see Choose which chats ChatPilot may read.

Views

The views are at the top of the menu under Inbox:

ViewWhat it shows
InboxChats with new messages, and chats with a reminder.
Needs replyNew messages that ask something of you.
UrgentNew messages ChatPilot marked urgent.
Low priorityNew messages that can wait.
Waiting on themChats where you wrote last and they haven't answered yet, the longest-waiting first.
SnoozedChats you put away until later.
DoneChats with nothing new and no reminder.
EverythingAll chats.

Below the views is one entry per app (Email, Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, iMessage). Pick an app to see only its chats; the views then count only that app. With a mailbox linked, its folders are listed too, with New email above them.

Narrow the list

The buttons above the list narrow what you see without leaving the view: Unread, Needs reply, Urgent, VIP, AI (chats ChatPilot can read), No AI, Bugs & requests and Has draft. Your labels are there too. Press a button again to switch it off.

Clear it

  • Done (or the key e) takes a chat out of your inbox. It comes back by itself with the next new message.
  • Snooze hides a chat until a time you pick (in 1 or 3 hours, this evening, tomorrow morning, Monday, in a week, or a date and time). It comes back to the inbox then. See Follow-ups and snooze.
  • Tick the box in front of several chats (or press x on each) to mark them done or snooze them together. For e-mail, Archive, Spam and Delete work on the selection too.

Type in the search box at the top to filter the list as you type. Press Enter to search all your messages in every app: messages, voice transcripts and file names. The results page narrows by app, time (last 7 days, last 30 days, last year), messages with a file or a photo, and a person. Only chats that are switched on are searched.
