Your reports over MCP
Read and answer the problems and wishes you reported from ChatPilot itself, Claude or another MCP app, with a key from your account.
The problems and wishes you send to ChatPilot's makers live in your account on chat-pilot.ai. An app that speaks MCP can work with them too: list and read your reports, file a new one, reply and follow, as you.
Make a key
- Sign in to chat-pilot.ai/account and open Keys.
- Under New key, type where it is used, e.g. "ChatPilot on my Mac", and press Make key.
- Copy the key: it is shown only this once. Copy the Server address too.
The app sends the key as Authorization: Bearer <key>. An account can have up to 10 keys. Revoke stops a key at once; a lost key can't be shown again, so revoke it and make a new one. Keep keys to yourself: whoever has one can act on your reports.
Connect it
- In ChatPilot: Settings → Connected systems → + Add system → Other (any MCP server), with the server address as MCP URL and the key as API key. See Any other system (MCP).
- In Claude Code or another MCP app: add an HTTP server with the address and an
Authorizationheader with the key.
The tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
list_items | your reports, filtered by status or a search |
get_item | one report with its answers |
create_item | files a new bug or wish (at most 20 a day) |
add_reply | answers on a report, or reopens it |
follow_item | follows or unfollows a report |
list_items and get_item only read. In ChatPilot the others become actions, off until you switch them on, and each runs only after you press Run on its card.
Admins of the tracker see every item through their key and get what their rights allow, such as set_state and add_label with the right to manage reports. The rights are checked on every call, so a key never does more than its account may at that moment.
