Discuss a chat with ChatPilot
Ask ChatPilot privately what someone means, how to answer, or to file a ticket, without anything being sent.
A discussion is a private conversation between you and ChatPilot. Nothing in it is ever sent to the person you're chatting with.
About one chat
Open a chat and press Discuss (key d). The discussion opens next to the chat (on a phone, in its place). ChatPilot has read the chat and knows the background you gave it.

Type a question and press Ask, or pick one of the suggestions. Good questions:
- "What do they actually want?"
- "How should I reply? Keep it short."
- "Is this a bug? Check the code."
- "Check this in the live data." (with a connected system)
You can paste or drop a screenshot into the question too.
About one message
On a message, press ask ChatPilot about this message. The discussion opens with that message quoted. Handle this lets ChatPilot work out what it needs: what it means, your reply, and a task or ticket if one is needed.
What comes back
- A proposed reply: Put in reply box puts it under the chat, where you change it and press Send yourself.
- A Proposed ticket: pick where it goes, kind and priority, check the title and text, see exactly what is sent, then File. File & reply also puts the answer with the ticket number in the reply box.
- Actions in a connected system (a lead, a task, a note): each one comes as a card showing exactly what will be sent. Nothing happens until you press Run.
ChatPilot can look things up while it answers (your notes, your code, live data from connected systems) but it can only read. It never changes anything by itself.
Ask ChatPilot about anything
Ask ChatPilot above the five areas (or ⌘K, then type and pick Ask ChatPilot) is the same, without a chat: a general discussion about your work. The page also lists your earlier chat discussions. Clear starts a discussion over.
A chat can only be discussed when ChatPilot may read it (see Choose which chats ChatPilot may read).
