Dashboards
Your report pages arranged the way you want, on a grid with tabs, with their own arrangement for wide screens, one dashboard for every client, templates to start from or share, and a read-only link or PDF for a client.
A dashboard shows your report pages the way you want to see them: each figure where you put it and as big as you made it, and several pages in one dashboard as tabs. The figures are the report pages' own: filled by ChatPilot from the systems' read tools, never by the AI. Dashboards stay on this computer.
Make a dashboard
- Build a report page first (Automation → Reports), or use one you have.
- Open Today → Dashboards.
- Under New dashboard, give it a name, pick the report page for its First tab, and press Create.
Your dashboards are listed under Your dashboards, and under Dashboards in the menu while it is open. The arrows on a row move a dashboard higher or lower in that list. Each dashboard has its own link (#dashboards/<number>, and /<tab> for a tab after the first).
Start from a template
Start from a template on Today → Dashboards lists ready-made dashboards: Media buyer, Publisher, Agency, Shop, Sales / CRM and Support, the ones the profiles of your integrations bring, and your own.
- Each template says which kinds of system it needs (an ad platform, a CRM, a shop, a helpdesk). Where more than one of your integrations fits, pick the one to use; Leave out skips an optional one.
- Press Use. ChatPilot builds every tab's report page from the systems you picked (read tools only, like a page you describe in words), saves the pages in Reports and opens the new dashboard. This can take a minute.
A tab whose system you haven't connected is left out, and ChatPilot says which. A template with a per-client tab (Media buyer, Agency) comes as one dashboard for every client when its pages got an account filter. Change anything afterwards as with any dashboard.
Save and share your own
- Save as template (under Arrange) keeps the dashboard as a template: its tabs, their pages and the arrangement as last saved. It shows under Start from a template as Yours.
- A template never holds your figures, filter values, notes, chat lists, clients or the names of your integrations: those are left out, and each integration is kept only as its kind (an ad platform). The words and tool settings of each page stay, so read the file before you share it.
- Download makes a file of one of your templates to send to someone; Import (at the top of the list) adds a file you got. Using it builds the pages for your own integrations of the same kind.
- The bin deletes one of your templates; dashboards made from it stay.
Arrange it
Press Arrange above the figures.
- Move a figure: drag it by its title.
- Resize it: drag its bottom-right corner. The grid is 12 columns wide.
- With the keyboard: press Tab to a figure, then the arrow keys move it; Shift and the arrow keys change its size.
- The other figures make room by themselves, and move up to close a gap.
- Undo takes back the last change; Cancel takes back everything since you pressed Arrange; Done saves.
While arranging you can also rename the dashboard and the tab, Add a tab (another report page), move a tab left or right, Remove this tab, Save as template and Delete the dashboard. Deleting a dashboard or removing a tab keeps its report pages in Reports.
Tabs and filters
Each tab shows one report page, with that page's filters (the period, an account) above the figures, the time they were filled, and Refresh. Each figure says when it was read, and a figure with its own refresh is read again by itself while the dashboard is open (Refresh and lookups). Change the page opens it in Reports, to change it in words or by hand; the dashboard shows the change the next time you open it. A figure the page gains is put in the first free place; one it loses goes. When a tab's report page is deleted, the tab says so: remove it under Arrange.
One dashboard for every client
Buying or working for many clients? Make one dashboard and let it show any of them: the same tabs and figures, filled for the client you pick.
- The tabs' report pages need a filter for the client's account: a text filter (an account) or a customer filter (a customer of a main system, which ChatPilot finds in each of its tenants by itself). Add it in Reports, in words or by hand, and use it in the figures.
- Press Arrange, and under Per client pick that filter.
- Clients from the chats bound to: pick the system. Every chat bound to it with an account (Live data in a chat) is a client, named as the system knows the account; a chat you bind later becomes a client by itself. Several chats about one account are one client.
- Add a client by hand (their account and a name) for a client without a chat. Hide takes a bound client out of the list, Remove one you added; Show the hidden ones again brings them back.
- Press Done.
The dashboard now shows a Client switcher above the tabs instead of that filter, and the client's chats next to it: a click opens the chat. Every tab is filled for the chosen client; a Latest messages figure without chats of its own shows only that client's chats. The link of the dashboard keeps the client (#dashboards/<number>/<tab>/<client>). Only chats you may see are listed (team mode).
Share with a client
Press Share above the figures. On a per-client dashboard it is about the client the switcher shows.
- Make a link: a read-only page with every tab of the dashboard, filled for that client. Fill in who it is For (the page says so) and how long it Works for: 7, 30 or 90 days, or a year. ChatPilot shows the link to copy and send.
- Anyone with the link sees the page, without signing in, so send it only to the client. It shows the figures and nothing else: no chats (a Latest messages figure is left out), no buttons, and a figure that can't be filled just says so. The figures are at most 15 minutes old. The page has a Print or save as PDF button too.
- The links of the dashboard are listed under the form, with how often each was opened. Copy copies a link again; Switch off stops it at once. A link also stops when it runs out, when the dashboard is deleted, and when the client isn't one of the dashboard's clients any more (hidden or removed under Arrange → Per client).
- Print or save as PDF opens the same page, filled now, in a new tab: print it, or choose Save as PDF in the print window, and send the file yourself.
A link works where your clients can reach ChatPilot: when it runs hosted by us, or on a server with its own address. A link to ChatPilot on your own computer (127.0.0.1) only opens on that computer, and the card says so: there, share the PDF.
On a wide screen and a phone
- A computer and a wide screen (1600 pixels or more, with Use wide screens on under Settings → Display) each keep their own arrangement. A wide screen starts with the computer's; the first change you make there makes it its own. As on a computer goes back to the computer's.
- A phone shows the figures one under the other, in the computer's order: top to bottom, left to right. Arrange on a computer.
