Discord
Read your Discord servers' channels and their latest messages in discussions, through a bot of your own.
Discord connects through a bot of your own that you add to your servers. ChatPilot reads the servers it is in, their channels and the latest messages there, read only, when you ask in a discussion ("what did they say in #design today?"). Discord chats don't come into the inbox this way.
Connect it
- In Discord's developer portal, create an application and add a Bot to it.
- Under Bot, switch on Message Content Intent: without it Discord leaves the text of messages out.
- Invite the bot to your servers with the View Channels and Read Message History permissions only.
- Copy the bot's token. In ChatPilot: Settings → Integrations → + Add system → Discord (marked API key), paste it as the Bot token, give it a Name and click Connect. ChatPilot tries the token once and only then adds the system.
The bot sees only the channels you let it into. ChatPilot never writes in Discord.
