Lightspeed eCom

For shops on Lightspeed eCom: a customer's orders, payment, shipping and tracking codes next to their chat, "Where's my order?" answered from the shop, read only.

Lightspeed eCom (C-Series) is Lightspeed's webshop. ChatPilot reads your customers, their orders, payment and shipping, and the tracking codes of their shipments, read only, through Lightspeed's own REST API. No MCP server is needed.

Connect it

  1. In Lightspeed's back office: Settings → Developers → API key (create one). Give it read rights for customers, orders and shipments. You get a key and a secret.
  2. In ChatPilot: Settings → Integrations → + Add system → Lightspeed eCom (marked API key).
  3. Enter Lightspeed's API address: api.webshopapp.com for a shop in Europe, api.shoplightspeed.com for one in North America. As the key, enter the key and the secret together with a colon between them: key:secret.
  4. Click Connect. ChatPilot tries the key once and only then adds the system.

Use it for a customer

Bind the customer's chat to it (Live data in a chat): ChatPilot finds the customer by the chat's e-mail address, or type their e-mail. The chat then shows how many orders they placed. In a discussion ChatPilot can look at those orders — status, payment, shipping — look an order up by its number (guest orders too) and read an order's shipments with their tracking code. With auto-answer ticked, auto-answer may answer "Where's my order?" with the live status.

Returns and exchanges

Start one from the customer's chat: ⋯ More → Send to… → Start a return or exchange (or let Ask ChatPilot propose it). Check the card and press Run: ChatPilot puts it on your tasks with the chat. The return itself, and any refund, you do in Lightspeed. Auto-answer may only propose the card, never run it; under Settings → Integrations it is marked Only you.

Apart from that card, reading is all ChatPilot does. A refund, a discount or a change to an order is never made from ChatPilot, and auto-answer never promises one: it says it passes that on to you.
