Google Ads

For media buyers and advertisers: your Google Ads accounts, their campaigns and figures next to a client's chat, read only, with a Google sign-in.

Google Ads reads your Google Ads accounts, their campaigns and their figures (cost, clicks, impressions, conversions and conversion value), read only, through the Google Ads API. Google's own MCP server for Google Ads only runs on a developer's computer, so ChatPilot reads the API this way.

What you need

  • A Google account that can open your Google Ads accounts. A manager account reaches all of its client accounts with one sign-in.
  • A developer token: in Google Ads, open a manager account and go to Admin → API Center. A new token starts at test access, which only reads test accounts; apply for Basic access there to read your real accounts.

Connect it

  1. Settings → Integrations → + Add system → Google Ads (marked sign in).
  2. Paste the Developer token. When you will sign in as a manager account, also fill in the Manager account ID (the 10 digits at the top of Google Ads, e.g. 123-456-7890); otherwise leave it empty.
  3. Give it a Name and choose Read it.
  4. Click Sign in with Google and sign in on Google's page in the tab that opens. ChatPilot asks Google only for Google Ads. Google's page may say that ChatPilot can manage your Google Ads accounts: that is the only kind of access Google Ads offers, and ChatPilot only reads.
  5. Back in ChatPilot, the system is added once Google has let you in and ChatPilot could list your accounts with it. ChatPilot never sees your password; the sign-in and the developer token go into the Keychain.

If the browser can't come back to ChatPilot (for example when ChatPilot runs on another computer), paste the address the tab ended on in the box that appears, and click Finish.

Use it for a client

Bind the client's chat to their Google Ads account by its customer ID (Live data in a chat). In a discussion you can then ask "how did my Google Ads do yesterday?" or "what did my search campaigns cost this week?". The monitors Campaign stopped delivering, Unusual cost and Cost per conversion up and a weekly report are offered for it, all off until you switch them on, and 📊 Reports → Ready-made has Google Ads campaigns, Google Ads day by day and Media buyer: my Google Ads accounts.

Figures come from Google as Google keeps them: cost in the account's currency, days in the account's time zone, and conversions that Google still restates for a few days after the click.

ChatPilot never changes anything in Google Ads: it has no tool that pauses, edits or creates a campaign. If Google stops accepting the sign-in (you removed ChatPilot's access, or changed your password), remove the system and connect it again.
