Projects

One client or repository in one place: its chats, issues and pull requests, what waits on whom, failing builds and the next meeting.

People → Projects puts everything about one client or one repository together: the chats about it (WhatsApp, Slack, e-mail …), its GitHub and GitLab issues and pull requests, what waits on you and what waits on them, failing builds and the next meeting.

Make a project

  • Press New project and give it a name, a client's or a product's name works well.
  • Or take one ChatPilot suggests: when issues or pull requests of a repository are in your inbox and in no project yet, ChatPilot suggests offers Make a project for that repository. Not now keeps that suggestion away.

What belongs to it

  • Chats you add. On the project's page, type in Add a chat and press Add beside the chat. A chat is in one project at a time; the ✕ beside it takes it out again (the chat itself stays as it is).
  • From the chat itself. In an open chat or mail, More → Add to a project lists your projects: pick one, or New project to make one with this chat in it. Once it is in one, the same entry says Project · its name, with Open its name and Take this chat out of the project. Picking another project moves it.
  • Issues and pull requests of its repositories, by themselves. Under Repositories and domains, list its repositories (your-org/your-app, GitHub or GitLab). Every issue, pull request and merge request of those that is in your inbox (see GitHub and GitLab) joins the project, marked From its repository. Putting such a chat into another project by hand wins over its repository.
  • Suggestions. ChatPilot suggests a chat for a project when its title names the project or one of its repositories, or when it is mail from one of the project's Domains. It never adds one by itself: press Add, or Not this project to keep it away.

The project's page

  • Waits on you: its chats with a message that needs your answer.
  • Waits on them: its chats where you wrote last and no answer came yet.
  • Pull and merge requests: the open ones in your inbox.
  • Failing builds and errors: open build and error signals of its repositories (or of a Vercel or Netlify project with the project's name).
  • Next meeting: the next meeting in your tasks from one of its chats.
  • Chats in this project: everything that belongs to it; click one to open it.

Rename and Delete project are at the top. Deleting a project leaves its chats as they are.
