Salesforce
For sales and support teams on Salesforce: ready-made pipeline, lead and case pages, monitors and a weekly pipeline report, read only through Salesforce's own MCP server.
Salesforce is a CRM. Connected through Salesforce's own MCP server, ChatPilot reads your opportunities, leads, accounts, contacts, cases and tasks, and the ready-made pages, monitors and the weekly report below speak Salesforce's own field names.
Connect it
Salesforce's MCP servers come with Enterprise edition and up; a Salesforce admin switches one on first. You sign in with your own Salesforce login, so ChatPilot sees what you may see there.
- In Salesforce (an admin): Setup → API Catalog → MCP Servers, switch on platform/sobject-reads. That server can only read: it has no tool that changes a record.
- In Salesforce (an admin): create an External Client App for ChatPilot with OAuth, the scopes mcp_api and refresh_token, PKCE on, and as callback the Redirect URL ChatPilot shows under More options in step 4. A new app can take up to 30 minutes to work.
- In ChatPilot: Settings → Integrations → + Add system → Other (any MCP server) (Any MCP server).
- MCP URL:
https://api.salesforce.com/platform/mcp/v1/platform/sobject-reads(a sandbox:…/v1/sandbox/platform/sobject-reads). Choose sign in (OAuth), and under More options enter the app's Client id (and Client secret if it has one). - Give it a Name (e.g. Salesforce), choose Read it: only in chats I bind it to (safest for client data), click Sign in and sign in on Salesforce's page.
ChatPilot recognises Salesforce by its address and tools and picks the Salesforce profile by itself (the system's page → Understood tab shows it).
What you get
- Ready-made pages (📊 Reports → Ready-made): Salesforce pipeline (open opportunities and their amount per stage), Won and lost opportunities in a period, New leads (per source and status, converted) and Support cases (created, closed, open per status and priority).
- Monitors, all off until you switch them on: opportunity won, opportunity lost, close date passed, overdue task, and a new high-priority case.
- A weekly pipeline report as a draft every Monday.
- Questions to ChatPilot about a client's opportunities or cases.
Salesforce's reading tools work for every kind of record alike, so ChatPilot learns from the server itself which one finds a client; until then the client card shows what it could learn (What ChatPilot understood). Every call counts against your org's daily API calls.
Reading is all ChatPilot does by itself. If you connect a Salesforce server that can also change records (sobject-mutations or sobject-all), its tools that create, update or delete are actions you switch on first and run yourself (Actions in integrations).
