Airtable

Read your Airtable bases, tables and records from a chat, with ready-made pages, monitors and a weekly overview.

Airtable keeps your own tables: projects, clients, orders, content plans. Connected through Airtable's own MCP server, ChatPilot reads the bases you allow it to see, while it discusses a chat, writes a draft or builds a page.

Connect it

  1. Settings → Integrations → + Add system → Airtable (marked sign in).
  2. The MCP URL is filled in for you. Give it a Name and choose Read it: only in chats I bind it to (safest for client data) when a base holds client records, so each client's chat only sees its own.
  3. Click Sign in with Airtable and sign in on Airtable's page in the new tab. Airtable asks which bases ChatPilot may see: choose only those it needs. ChatPilot gets a token, never your password, and keeps it fresh by itself.
  4. Back in the panel, ChatPilot notices the sign-in and looks at what it can do there.

Airtable's MCP server works on every Airtable plan.

With a personal access token instead

Instead of signing in you can make a personal access token at airtable.com/create/tokens with only the read scopes data.records:read and schema.bases:read (and the bases it may see), and add Airtable under Other (any MCP server) with the address https://mcp.airtable.com/mcp and that token as the API key (Any other system (MCP)). A token with only read scopes can't change anything in Airtable at all.

What you get

ChatPilot recognises Airtable's server by its address and picks the Airtable profile by itself (the system's page → Understood tab shows it). Every base has its own tables and fields, so ChatPilot learns yours from the server instead of assuming them (What ChatPilot understood).

  • Ready-made pages (📊 Reports → Ready-made): Bases and tables (each table with its number of records and its fields), New records in a period per table and per day, and Records by status (how many records per option of a status or stage field).
  • Monitors, all off until you switch them on and say which table: a new record, and a record whose due date has passed and that isn't marked done.
  • A weekly overview as a draft every Monday.

To use it for a client's chat, bind the chat to Airtable and say which base or record it is about (Live data in a chat).

Reading is all ChatPilot does by itself; Airtable's tools that create or change records, tables, interfaces or automations are actions you switch on first and run yourself (Actions in integrations).
