Switch features on or off

Too many options? Switch off the parts of ChatPilot you don't use — Shop, Tickets, Meetings, Dashboards and more — under Settings → Features. Nothing is deleted.

ChatPilot can do a lot, and you probably don't need all of it. Under Settings → Features you switch off the parts you don't use, and the app gets quieter.

What a switch does

Each part of ChatPilot has one switch:

  • Shop: the Shop page and review requests in a chat.
  • Tickets and support: tickets and bug reports on Today and in a chat, the support queue.
  • Meetings: meeting invites, recordings and notes.
  • Appointments and quotes: Book an appointment, Make a quote and On my way in a chat.
  • Tasks: the Tasks page, your agenda and suggested tasks on Today.
  • Dashboards and Reports: those pages in the menu.
  • Scheduled reports, Monitors and Approvals.
  • Projects: the Projects page and a chat's project.
  • Build and error signals and Questions for you.
  • Templates: the Templates page.

A part you switch off disappears everywhere: from the menu, from Today, from the Settings list and from a chat (its entries under ⋯ More, its line in the chat's header). In What I use ChatPilot for its page shows Off under Settings → Features. ⌘K still finds it by name, marked off under Settings → Features: picking it asks whether to switch it on again, then opens it.

Nothing is deleted and nothing stops in the background: switch it on again and everything is back as it was. Your inbox, People, Ask ChatPilot, Rules & auto-answer and Settings always stay.

A part you don't use

When a part is on but you haven't used it for 30 days (not opened its page, not clicked in its section on Today, its Settings card or its piece of a chat), Today asks once: You haven't used … in 30 days. Hide it to keep ChatPilot simpler? Hide switches it off, as the switch above would (Undo right after, or switch it on again here any time); Keep it leaves it and ChatPilot never asks about that part again. One question at a time, at most one a day, and nothing is ever hidden without your answer. Parts you switched on yourself here aren't asked about. ChatPilot keeps what you used on this computer only; it isn't sent anywhere.

Where the switches start

If you never told ChatPilot what you use it for, every part starts on. If you did (What I use ChatPilot for), the parts your choice uses start on and the rest start off; a shop you connected or a page you showed yourself stays on. Your own switch always wins. Back to the starting switches undoes your changes.

Typing features, hide or the name of a part in the search above the Settings list finds the card. The switches are kept in your settings file as use_modes.features.
